Customer Reviews
Mt. Fuji Day Trip was great
we booked the Mt. Fuji Day Trip with Arigato Travel and it was super convenient. the bus was comfy, and our guide had some really cool stories about the area. we got some awesome photos, and the lunch spot they picked had fantastic views. i was a bit bummed you can't stack promo codes, i had a couple different ones but only one worked at checkout. but overall, the tour was worth it, especially compared to some of the prices on Viator or GetYourGuide.
amazing food tour, definitely worth it!
anyone else looking for a fantastic food tour in japan? we did the Family Friendly Food Tours with Arigato Travel and it was brilliant. our guide handled all our dietary needs, even my sister's gluten-free request, without a hitch. the food stops were all super interesting and delicious, and the pacing was perfect for our little ones. it really felt like we got a true taste of local culture, not just tourist traps. the booking process was easy too, especially since i had a promo code from this site, which saved us about 15%. way better than some other tours we looked at on viator or getyourguide.
Breakfast Tour Was Great
I got a good discount on the Breakfast Food Tour. It was a really fun way to start the day and see some local spots. Our guide was friendly and explained everything well. The food was delicious, and there was plenty of it. I just wish the meeting point details came right after booking instead of a few days later.
Amazing Hiroshima Experience!
Thinking of a food tour in Japan? Definitely check out Arigato Travel! I booked their Hiroshima Food Tour and it was absolutely fantastic. Our guide was so knowledgeable about the local cuisine and history, and every single dish we tried was delicious. They even handled a sudden drizzle perfectly, providing umbrellas and finding sheltered spots, so the weather didn't impact our fun at all. I was a bit worried about applying a promo code I found online, but it worked smoothly at checkout. I'm already planning my next trip and will definitely book with them again, maybe a Gluten Free Food Tour next time for my friend!
Solid tours, but check the fine print
grabbed a 10% off code for the Tokyo Food Tour, thought it was a pretty good deal. the tour itself was great, just like the other times i've used arigato travel. my only gripe is when i went to book a corporate team building tour later, i couldn't use any of my usual promo codes for it, which was a bit annoying. guess some stuff is excluded from discounts. still, consistent quality.
Enjoyable but a few hiccups
We took the Kyoto Food Tour. The guide was fantastic, really made the history come alive with the food. The booking process was straightforward on their site. My only minor issue was the initial meeting point instructions could have been clearer; we had to ask a local for directions. The tour itself was well-paced and the food was delicious. Customer service was responsive when I emailed about the meeting point beforehand. Felt it was good value for the experience, just wish the directions were a bit more precise.
Best tour ever, will return!
Oh my goodness, the Shibuya Street Food Tour was incredible! The variety of food we tried was amazing, and our guide was so energetic and friendly. I learned so much about the area. The booking was super easy, and confirmation came right away. I've already told my travel buddy we HAVE to do another tour with them next time we're in Japan. Absolutely loved it, a fantastic experience!
Good food, smooth tour
I did the Tokyo Food Tour. Guide was knowledgeable, food stops were great. Everything went as planned. Booked online, confirmed quickly. No issues at all.
Decent value for first-timers
As a first-time buyer, I was looking for a good deal. I managed to get the Osaka Food Tour during a seasonal promotion, which saved me a bit. The price felt fair for what we got. The food was good, and the tour offered a nice introduction to the city's culinary scene. I compared it to a few other options, and this one seemed to offer the most for the money at the time. Worth it if you can snag a discount.

Does Arigato Travel ever have sales? Like, I'm seeing prices but wondering if I should wait for a Black Friday thing or something.
Are these tours legit? Like, is it a real company or just some random person walking you around? Trying to avoid scams for my trip.
Thinking of booking a Tokyo food tour, but it's like 6 months out. Is that too early? Worried about stuff getting booked up, especially for cherry blossom season.
Can I use like two different promo codes on one booking? I have one for signing up for the newsletter and another from a partnership site.
Hey, I'm looking at booking a food tour in Kyoto for my family next spring. Do they do kid-friendly tours or is it more for adults?
